Long Time No Post

Posted by Es Riggins

Yes, I am sorry to admit it has been quite a while since I last ‘penned’ an entry to any of my blogs. Nothing that I am proud of, but stuff happens, right? I have been caught up in a period of extremely poor time management, sprinkled with a heaping teaspoon of lazy, a generous portion of self pity and of course, good old backsliding, all thrown in for poor measure. Yes, and during this latest period of wasted time, I also fell prey to internet marketing’s newest and shiniest quick fix product barrage to the tune of ‘Fast Train to Riches’, by the rock group WTM, short for ’Way Too Much’.

I am positive some of you reading this post have had the misfortune to have been entertained in this venue yourselves, but that doesn’t make me less guilty or feel the least bit less responsible for my current circumstances. Many of the recent sales pages I have read, urging me to buy their new shiny object, told me, that it’s not my fault that I haven’t made any real money online yet, it’s actually the fault of the bad IM Gurus who hold their secrets close to the chest and only share with their IM Guru buddies, at super secret, double probation, Guru only conferences. Some of this may be true, but not being an IM Guru, I have no way of knowing the truth in this statement, but it always makes me feel better to believe, or to convince myself, with a little re-enforcement from my new best friend, that it’s not my fault and this is the guy who is going to save my bacon. My bacon has been saved more times these past months then I care to recall.

In defense of a defenseless position, I will say that my buying habits have taken, what I hope will be a turn for the better, and should shortly bear fruit in the form of finally making some money. I have shunned internet marketing how to products in favor of software products that eliminate much of the manual ‘How To’ labor involved in marketing affiliate products and automate much of the necessary product and market research that must take place in order to successfully sell any product online. Time will tell the wisdom of this redirection of my focus, but I am rapidly running out of time

I promise to keep you posted, I have started to document my progress and lack of the same in a journal, when complete this journal will be an EBook that reviews each of the new software products I use in my quest for success. I will offer my EBook to my readers for free, it should save you loads of time becoming a successful marketer on the internet.

OLD HABITS DIE HARD – or, AM I JUST A BACKSLIDER ?

Posted by Es Riggins

Well , I have been remiss lately as I haven’t made a post to this blog for two months. I bet you thought I had given up, thrown in the towel or maybe threw myself in front of a bus. In which case I would have to be writing this from my hospital bed. If you guessed none of the above, you would be absolutely correct, but I would bet you would never guess what I had been up to, or based on past posts in this blog, maybe you would.

I have, once again, thrown myself off the highest and nearest cliff, but since I live in South Jersey, I probably won’t suffer any fatal injuries. What I have been doing goes against all the lessons that I thought I had learned and have been writing about in my articles which reference my personal business philosophy/methodology I call ‘Tripodology’, and once again, I slipped back into my old habits and practices of throwing ‘stuff’ up against the wall and see what sticks, and as you might have guessed, at no small expense.

I was doing so well, not spending excessive amounts of money, quietly promoting my ‘main’ business, TriVita, on target, on a budget,  and focused, three of the most important disciplines to concentrate on when building a business, and then I started to backslide. My fall off the wagon really started with Michael Cheney’s Black Box, I now realize, that the total disappointment I felt over that sure fire, best bet in years, chance of a marketing lifetime, peek behind the curtain was a complete flop , at least it was for me. And to make matters worse, it was the trigger for what happened afterwards.

I started a series of desperate grabs for the brass ring of internet marketing lore, that once in a marketing lifetime chance to break down the walls of rejection and failure and grab that chance for success.

I know it was wrong, but  like most internet marketing junkies, I could not stop myself. Every time I pressed the ‘Buy Now’ button, I knew I should not do it, but I did it anyway. I always convinced myself that I would just take a look and get the refund before the 30-day trial period was over. Thirty days goes by awfully fast when you are busy looking at emails all the time, which always offer a better chance for success then the opportunity you have in front of you. But maybe, just maybe I got lucky this time, I have three different but complementary marketing methodologies concentrating on PPC and PPV that I am currently learning to use. None of which I would call a bargain, but if it’s for real, it probably won’t , nobody in their right mind is going to hand you the keys to a lucrative business for $197.00, it would be too good to be true and it always is.

Stay tuned, if even one of these programs turn out to be the ‘Real McCoy’ and work for me, it would have been worth the struggle and I will be sure to pass the opportunity on to you.
